Yesterday Savannah & I made the first of probably many trips to Lurgan Greenhouse. The place has certainly grown since they first started. It is run by ,I guess they are ,an amish order of people. It is nothing to see puppies & kittens & little girls with long pigtails & boys with their hair cut like the amish have running all around while we shop.Looking out to the fields behind the place there are often men with the horse drawn plows still plowing their farmland the old way.It is so peaceful there.
I didn`t really go to buy anything, but to drink in their inspiration, however I found a plant I HAD to have.Of all the pretty blooming plants that they have,I came home with a hanging pitcher plant. It is a carnivorous plant, with these huge "pitchers"dropping down from the waxy type leaves. It said to fill the pitchers up 1/2 way with water when I got it home.I hope not to kill it,but it is to stay wet all the time.
