Happy Mother`s Day

Even if you are not a mother, you have surely made a difference in someones life as a mom ,friend, girl scout leader,Sunday School teacher,or someone who just needed a wink & a smile, maybe you have been the one to give that when needed.Happy day to you!
It was a beautiful day here,spring-like & breezy, some areas may get frost tonite. My only child turned 35 today.
Leaving this eve with an old pic of my own mom,& also a grosbeak!!I was so happy to see the bird,I didn`t get much of a pic of him,but I don`t remember the female having a small patch of peach on its breast. It has been awhile since they have stopped at my feeder.Maybe I`ll get better pics tomorrow...

thrasher & evening rose breasted grosbeak

The brown thrasher arrived a day early this year,on the 19th.I was dismayed to see only 1,we have been having a pair come & spend time with us,nesting here. But perhaps with this weather, the other 1 is here, maybe I just haven`t seen it yet.

The other bird I`m watching for are the grosbeaks. They were here last year on the 28th of April, spending a week or so with us before moving on.These are last years pics.Blogging is a great way to keep track of migrating birds. The juncos are gone.I blogged about their activity last week,& sure enough they were gone.
