I love your photos of the red bellied! You got him in some great poses---I dont have a decent photo of one of these guys have a very pixelated one--I have never been able to get them to come to the feeders! So a certain cat is in hot water~maybe?

I have not seen these attractive birds in my direct area, but I understand they have been seen nearby. Boom & Gary of THe Vermilon River, Canada.
Uh oh...I know how those kitties can cause computer problems. But they sure do like to be near and/or 'help'.

Great looking woodpecker! So funny you should be mentioning your cat Simba. I have Chazz the cat visiting me this weekend with her beautiful owner Suzanne. Chazz will check the house out for mice and keep our feet warm at night. Nice. I am going to take bird pictures all day today, maybe I'll see a woodpecker too! ;-)wbw
