White Throated Sparrow
This white throated sparrow posed for me, giving a view of him at different angles while I was outside trying to photograph the pileated woodpeckers, still can`t get a shot of them.
You got some awesome shots of one of my favorite winter visitors! I love the sweet little song they sing too. THIS year I finally got some all be it distant shots of the pileated...been on my wish list for 40 yrs!
Hi Phyllis! Merry Christmas! We have them too, and the white crowned sparrows...I was reading your previous posts-I don't know about Photoshop 9, but on my ancient elements 5, there is a 'levels' button to correct the brightness-it's like a graph thing that you move and it brightens the picture. I envy you the new one-but I'm so slow learning the one I've got, it will be a while before I buy a new one! Love, Debra

A wonderful little bird, that I am waiting for. I only have a few that come here, and it's really a treat.

In the summer this is one of the many varieties of sparrow that live here. Beauties aren't they. Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River, Canada.
That white throat is quite striking. These little guys don't come west.
Lovely little bird.
I can see how he got his name lol
Lovely yellow marking over the eye too.
How nice to have a bird posing and even turning around :-)
Thanks for sharing.

Looks like he was working it for you! Nice shots. :)
Looks like you have quite the fine feathered model there. I just adore feedin' and watchin' the birds. Some of them are real 'clowns.'
I just wanted to thank ya for hoppin' on my blog. I sure hope ya'll enjoy the ride.
Have a blessed Christmas and in the words of that silly old Granny Clampett, ya'll come back now, ya hear!!!

I've never noticed these here. We have the white crowned sparrows. These pics are great; it looks like he's wearing a napkin under his chin! So cute!
