Today is the dh & my 39th wedding anniversary. It was rainning snowflakes way back then, everyone said rain on a wedding day brings good luck to the marriage.I don`t know about that.We usually take a once a year trip to the local Red Lobster for dinner, but I don`t think that`s happenning this year.He is still slumbering.
I found my camera laying on the floor with the flash up this morning ,darn cats chasing each other knocked it over somehow. It looks like the lens has another crack in it,so I went out to try to take some pics & it seems ok.
I was surprised to see the northern flicker,& to actually get photos of the bird, though they aren`t that great.

I do not have a clue what the bird is at the birdbath.I`m going back outside to see if I can see another, just had to check to see if the camera is still working.
Despite the frost, some roses are still blooming.

Our winter birds are showing up here too--But I just wish there weren't so many crows, but they're hungry too!
Hi there - nice present for the big day - the mystery bird looks like it may be a thrush of some sort - but thats a bit of a long shot!
Thanks for the comment on my blog - I've been in Oman for a week hence slow reply!

Hi, you have great birds in your yard. I love the Flicker. And I see a Purple Finch and I agree with Stewart the bird at the bath looks like a Hermit Thrush. Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby!
I realize now that you,Eileen & Stewart are right,a hermit thrush I haven`t seen for awhile here,he needed a drink.I`ll have to get out the electric dog water dish I put out for the winter so the birds get to drink & bathe. Thanks for ID`ing & commenting!phyllis
Happy anniversary!
Great bird photos! Isn't it amazing that the roses continue to bloom? Ours have been too and they are so nice to see.
Happy anniversary, and I wish you many more! I hope your camera is still ok :-)
