Bandit alerted me to deer in the yard.I just put corn down earlier,they have been coming in after dark.Today they made an afternoon appearance.There were 3 traveling together,but today there were just 2 that came here to eat.They kept looking up into the trees .It is very windy here,perhaps they thought a tree was going to fall on them,flighty & looking all around,but didn`t seem upset at my presence outside on the deck snapping pictures.

So pretty. I think animals know where it is safe to be. If they are going to be shot at your place it will be with a zoom lens.
Great pics! We have had 10 come to our place. We put out food for them, too, and they know where they are safe. They aren't afraid of us and not even of the cat anymore. They come in groups of three or four -- we've learned to be able to identify the families. They are so much fun to watch! We put out cat food for the fox, and one doe and her fawn from last year always eat the cat food!
I didn`t know deer ate cat food!!
I`m hoping that this is a different family of deer,they look different from the group of 3 we had coming.One day we had 7 & the adults fought while the little ones ate.That was unusal to see,it usually is the other way around.phylliso
