Wild Bird Wed.

I have a smorgasbord of photos this week, including a few of the elusive hawks I`ve been trying to get.I`m not sure exactly what kind they are, their call is a beeeep beeep sound.I would love to have a bigger lens now,as these are not as close & I cropped & zoomed them in to see more clearly. They are amazing. They toured right over the roof about 3 times today.Their calls were so loud even the dogs barked when they soared overhead.
The goldfinches are cleaning off the sunflower heads quickly, the thrashers are losing baby feathers & getting new ones to fly away soon. The tufted titmouse holds seeds carefully in his "legs" as he hammers at them to get them open.I don`t take many pictures of them as they live here year around, but they are fun to watch.I couldn`t understand what was going on in the woods,& stopped to look,& it was 2 titmouses trying to pick up a slippery butterscotch candy paper to line a nest with or keep as a trophy, who knows, they were comical though.
These are my submissions for wild bird Wed.Please go to this link to put your own birds on..http://paying-ready-attention-gallery.blogspot.com/
