Wild Bird Wed.

http://paying-ready-attention-gallery.blogspot.com/
Share your wild birds at Stewart`s blog today, hopefully the link above will work this time..
This was yesterday during the snow, my heated water bowl came in handy as this chickadee gets  a drink. I also had goldfinches, their color is starting to turn back to more of a vivid yellow, & also purple finches. Note the tails are short & notched, that`s the difference between the house finch & purple finch. These are females. Shortly after I uploaded these, I placed the camera card back in my Canon Rebel & the camera has died. It is at the "camera doctors" . I feel like I am missing a part of my body. I have had this camera forever. To make matters worse, I had a rufous-sided male towhee under the feeder. I took a pic with my phone,
but it wasn`t very good.

Lots of birds at the feeders when it snows. I haven't had a finch in the yard since the fall. So nice to see them. Sorry about your camera, I know how it feels to be without one!!

Your pics still came out great with the phone, but I totally understand your sadness about the camera being at the doctor's! I hope it's back soon!!!

I hope your camera is home where it belongs very soon! Thanks for caring for our little feathered friends in this unfriendly weather!

Thanks for the comments, I have to let you know that I was able to bring my camera home. They ordered a new battery door for me, it would not completely latch, had nothing to do with the camera card. I didn`t even notice that.
I also needed a new battery, which is only the 2ond one I`ve had to buy in years. They rigged it up with tape & I can shoot till the battery door comes in, so happy, happy, happy! phyllis

Great pics! Love the snow! We have the same birds that come to our feeder, but I'm wondering . . . who comes for the orange pieces? Maybe we should do that too.
