Rehoming Susie, the death of my parrot,a new puppy/Sat.`s critters

It has been such a long time since I have written. I am going to try & play catch up with Eileen for Sat`s critters, link up here

Susie, the golden I rescued, started becoming more & more dominate with the yard space, proclaiming  that the snow was hers, all hers, biting all of the dogs who were enjoying running & playing in the snow,so that was the end of the rope for me ,so she had to go.I had worked with her a good 6 months or more.It was difficult finding someone to take an 8 year old who didn`t already have a dog.I couldn`t risk sending her to a home with other dogs. Finally, my brother`s pastor was looking for a dog for his little boys, one that was already trained & out of the nipping stage.Susie was perfect for the family.

The last day of March I was shocked to find Elvis dead at the bottom of his cage, still clutching a peanut. He had been with us 35 years & had prior owners,so he was quite old,but I was devestated. No more will we hear,do you wanna drink? wanna apple? I guess he just lived a long life & it was his time to go. I imagine he is on my husband`s shoulder in heaven.

Finally, I am not a german shepard person, but when this puppy became available,I took her,her name is Sonya. She will be 12 weeks at the end of the month. It has been 8 years since I have had a puppy,so it has been challenging. She is a shiloh shepard, long haired.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I'm so sorry about your parrot Elvis. But he had a good, long, happy life with you in his forever home. Sorry also about Susie. Sonia's adorable!!! I've been loving the pics you post on FB of her. German shepherds are such sweet and goofy dogs. My Sagan is a complete lovebug derp.

Hello Phyllis, thanks for your visit to my blog.
Sorry that Susie has passed, the loss of a pet at any age is an emotional wrench.
We used to have the most lovable German Shepherd, so I adore them.
Hope all works out with your new cute pup!

I re-homed Susie, she didn`t die,she just needed to be the only dog in a home. She is happy now in her other home being the queen of their yard.I am still at 6 dogs, they are such good company, plus all my other critters.phyllis

I'm so sorry about your parrot. Your new puppy is adorable, but it's a lot of work when they're young.

I'm sorry about the loss of Elvis. All those years that he was with your family truly is a testament to your great care.

Kudos to you for finding the perfect home for Susie. She is so much like our girl Bella that we've been fostering for the Golden Retriever Rescue for nearly a year. She is nearly 11 years old, and I have *finally* found the perfect home for her, and she'll be leaving us in about a month. I will miss her, but I could not be happier that she'll be the queen and the star she is meant to be.

Finally, your new addition is really cute! A friend of mine breeds Shiloh's and they are beautiful and amazing dogs!
