I can't believe you have collies! And...they are not running down the road. I got a collie and we couldn't contain her. We did everything. At the time the ranchers were shooting dogs on their property and I'd always find Cassie in the donkey pen. For her own safety I had to give her up to a very nice home. I still keep track of her 4 years later. I cried for 6 months. I loved her but she was too friendly and wanted to go visiting. I grew up on Lassie so it was a dream to have a collie.

those are my shelties.I`m looking for another collie,I`ve had collies for 26 years.Go to my post on my collie,it`s an older post.He was my perfect angel.I love my shelties,but I`m still missing my Max so much.I feel him with me tho,in the wind,in the yard...phylliso

forgot to say,the way I trained my collies was to tie them to me as I walked & keep treats then when they were ready to be in the yard on their own,it takes a while,but you can get them to stay at your side.Max was sometimes annoying that way,I`d turn around in the room in the house & near fall over him.phylliso
