thrasher & evening rose breasted grosbeak

The brown thrasher arrived a day early this year,on the 19th.I was dismayed to see only 1,we have been having a pair come & spend time with us,nesting here. But perhaps with this weather, the other 1 is here, maybe I just haven`t seen it yet.

The other bird I`m watching for are the grosbeaks. They were here last year on the 28th of April, spending a week or so with us before moving on.These are last years pics.Blogging is a great way to keep track of migrating birds. The juncos are gone.I blogged about their activity last week,& sure enough they were gone.

I wouldn't have a clue what type of birds I'm seeing. My husband can ID hawks from eagles flying above.

You are a very perceptive lady Ms. Phyllis. In fact, I have been on medical leave for over a week. I nearly died last weekend from a severe drop in blood pressure and if I had continued high blood pressure medication it's doubtful I would be here. After all the tests it appears my adrenol glands went into crisis...they are the ones that handle stress...so yes, it does make you sick. I hardly have any cortisol left in my system. And..I don't post any of the medical because my children are overseas. Simon is representing the USAFA at a humanitarian law competition and James is on his honeymoon. So I don't want them to worry. Thank you for sharing and caring. Means a alot.
