We have a friend we get our hay from who has boer goats.They are tied with a dog chain & they have a collar on,at their little dairy hutches,& you can drive by there anytime & they will be grazing or lounging out on the ground.
On the other hand,you dare not leave our goats outside tied unattended as they will hog tie themselves & get in terrible life-threatening predictiments.Of course I had the twins tied too closely together here,but even Blackie, if you look close ,has his leash all wrapped around his front leg.Ringo I usually allow to go freely in the yard.
