Wooly Worm Forcast
Wooly worms{pyrrharctia isabella}are the common name of the larval stage of the tiger moth. They have been used over the years to predict whether or not we will have a harsh winter.Legand has it that the thinner the brown band, the harsher the winter.Mostly brownish red in the middle,a mild winter. It has been a long time since I`ve seen an all black one, this one has tiny brown lines when he curled up in a ball, but he is mostly all black.

Do you have many of them this year?
He looks like he's scared of the thought of winter.
It`s the second one I`ve seen, the first one had a broad band of brown around his middle.phylliso
