I can`t believe it has been a whole week since I posted anything. It`s this slow internet,I start putting pictures on after I write,& then it goes downhill, the pictures won`t go on or I get too impatient that it`s taking so long.
Oh well, griping doesn`t get me anywhere.
This world bird Wed.I`m posting the mourning dove.We have many this year, but 2 hawks have been hunting together,so I don`t know how many are left, the doves have taken up residance in alot of our pines.
I did see the brown thrasher today, one anyhow,& they are here a week earlier than the past 2 years.
I have not seen "my"robin with the wierd growing feather,I fear he is dead. The empty nest he or she usually first lay their eggs in after they fancy it up a bit remains untouched under the deck out my kitchen. There is still a strand of curly white ribbon dangling from it they found somewhere.A robin has been hitting my kitchen window over & over, even after I put newspapers over it,but I finally had to hang the hummingbird feeder from the spouting outside the window as I was afraid he`d kill himself the way he was beating at it.I figure my robin is/was at least 6 years old.My Max died in 2007 & I remember thinking that spring if my robin would notice I no longer had my shadow walking with us.
Please post your photos over at the springman`s blog. It`s fun to see all the different kinds of birds from around the world & their stories.http://worldbirdwednesday.blogspot.com/

Morning Phyllis,
I have a few Morning doves in my front yard, however my neighbor lets his cats roam free and I think they sometimes grab them. I have not forgotten about the calico, embarrassed I haven't sent ti yet. Forgive please. Hugs and love, Robin
