Red Bellied Woodpecker

The red-bellied woodpecker has been filling up holes in the electrical pole with suet from the feeder.
Also,a picture of the purple finches, hiding in the thicket of briars that I need to get at before the nesting birds arrive.
I`m editing Sun.`s post to place on Stewart`s Wild Bird Wed.To show off your wild birds,go to this link http://paying-ready-attention-gallery.blogspot.com/

Great photos--I had no idea woodpeckers did that.

I saw my first Mockingbird yesterday.

Love these guys!
I hope other birds don't find their stash. :)
Sweet little finches too.

Very nice pictures - the woodpeckers do seem to like suet.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

Thank-you,Yash,I wondered how you found me,your blog posts are so interesting to read,I saw how you captured a bird on your one post.
Kim,Carletta,Stewart, thanks for visiting.I`m afraid the nuthatches find the suet the red bellies have stored. They are often on that pole.I keep suet & seed stocked year around though.phyllis
