Dolls

A side photo of the doll I just posted so you can see she is wearing a bonnet. Here are the black dolls I made using a Netty LaCroix pattern.I stitched them with muslin, painted them, sanded them, painted again & dusted with cinnamon.I used Blackie`s fleece to needlefelt to their heads.I should note that the black dolls are called stump dolls, therefore they have no legs & stumps for arms.

I can't believe this! Did I tell you my gunny sack story?????? I found a pattern for a rag doll in Mary Jane's Farm magazine. I asked everyone if they had seen any gunny sacks. No one had seen any for YEARS.....well, the very next day in the back room at work I found two laying there waiting for me. I think Big Mike is watching over me. I couldn't believe it when I opened your blog and saw pictures of those dolls! Take care dear friend and keep sharing your pictures. The dolls are just lovely.
