red bellied woodpecker and bluejays

Today I caught the red-bellied woodpecker in some good shots. The utility pole looks like it has a face in it!
I also got the bluejays, who have for the past 3 days raised loud noises & made alot of commotion at the bird feeder. All birds are on the watch for the hawks,& no,I still don`t know where they are nesting. The blue jays hardly ever come to the feeder, but all of them were wolfing down suet,so I winder if they are feeding babies already.

Great photos! We see a lot of Blue Jays here, and when everything looks so blah, even though they are pesky and eat everything (!!!) they are welcome color!

Great photos, Phylliso. I love the blue jay all fluffy. All my birds are hogging the suet too.

Great shots of the Bluejays and the Red-bellied Woodpecker Phyllis! Two birds that would be lifers for me! Ya, I know, I need to get out of California once in awhile ;-)
